Qualifications for professional and family caregivers
The most important qualification of being a caregiver is having a heart for helping people. While prior caregiving experience is preferred, it is not required. Ashur Home Care provides all the necessary training to become a compassionate caregiver.
On top of a positive attitude, passion to serve, and willingness to learn, some formal qualifications are required. To qualify to work as a caregiver with Ashur Home Care, you must:
Be 18 years or older
Have a High school diploma or GED
Be an Indiana resident
Have reliable transportation to work
Pass a comprehensive background check
Be an independent worker
Pass a negative two-step TB test
Be able to lift up to 40lbs.
